Episode 1 – what a fantastic start to Doctor Who. Rewatching it, I’d seen the story before so knew the magic doesn’t last for 4 eps though.

Ep 2 has the most verbose cavemen ever. Ep 3 though… Intriguing. Never noticed this before, but this ep is the original template for DW captured/escape/captured runaround.

Minuses, verbose cavemen and the plot of Eps 2, 3, and 4. Pluses, good lines, camerawork, and the pure magic of Episode 1. More interesting though when viewed as a companion piece to the next serial which features another tribe and more strife…
